Break Stroke

This game was made for the Macro Game Jam!

Ah, the pools. An aquatic playground where you and your friends can have the time of your life! ...unless you're Tucky. Swimming and buying food doesn't quite cut it as "entertainment," so you'll have to make do with something else, and it seems that the best way to enjoy the pools is to stick it to the rules!

In Break Stroke, you control a fat little kid causing rampage at the pools. Since normal pool activities aren't fun for you, you challenge yourself to break all 6 of the pool rules! But be careful, as Life Guards are scouting around the pools! Slip up in front of them, and your run will be hurt!

To achieve your goal of regulation blasphemy, you'll need to talk to the patrons of the pool. However, this might get you side-tracked a bit!

This game is supposed to be a speedrun game (or at least on second attempts). If you can beat my score of 116s, you'll get a cool blue flame the true ending! To get a fast time, you may need to use certain mechanics of the game in unintended ways.

On your first playthrough, click the big rules sign at the beginning to get context for the game!

  • Hold Jump in water to swim!
• Down/S: Talk
• E: Pick up/Put down Item, Place Chocolate
• Q: Sprint
• B: Drink Beer
• Click: Shoot Watergun
• M: Mute game
• N: Unmute game
